I build self-paced courses out of training that already exists and already works in a room.
That’s the whole business. It’s deliberately narrow. There’s no studio behind me and nobody I hand your project to. You get me. First call to the day the files land in your LMS.
I work this way because of what’s true on both sides of the table, and neither side changes. You know your subject cold and you can’t build a course. I can build a course and I don’t know your subject.
So you read the whole course as a document before I build a screen of it. You catch where the vocabulary is wrong, because you’re the only one who can.

Three things. Here’s what each one is doing on this page.
- SHRM-SCP.
- Your material is usually policy, conduct, safety, or somebody’s job. That sits inside an organization’s rules and its culture, and it has consequences when it’s wrong. I’ve worked inside that, so I read your material without needing you to translate it first.
- MBA.
- It means I can see the shape of the organization around the project. Who signs off, who has to be brought along, and where the date came from. That’s usually where a build gets stuck, and it’s usually not the content.
- 10+ years in eLearning.
- The least interesting of the three and the one that earns its place. I’ve watched this go wrong from enough angles to know where it breaks. That’s why the method has a gate in it.
